Sleepless in Seattle by Nora Ephorn

Is there anyone in the world who doesn’t know that movie? Or maybe – is there anyone in the world above 18 who doesn’t know that movie? :)
In spite of the fact that it’s nearly 20 years old, it’s an inevitable item on TV during Christmas time (at least in Poland ;)) Years are passing by and this movie is still incredibly magic.

Generally I’m not a fan of  romantic comedies at all – they are boring and extremely naive. Maybe it’s their beauty but I rather feel that I’m wasting my time watching them. The worst are those that are trying too hard to be funny – it works the other way around ;)

Although I have watched this movie for a few times in the past, more or less consciously, I wished to watch it once again when I learned that we are going to settle down in Seattle.  Our main goal was to just feel the atmosphere of our future residence city :)

I love all actors in this movie – Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks are just great for those characters. Just from the beginning you just know that they were made for each other;)

My other thought is that life was so much different without cells! More difficult and more… romantic :) Now, in the age of Internet, we are connected with the world everywhere, but is it a perfect facilitation in interpersonal contacts? I’m afraid no, but not really know why…

For me this movie is a great example that there are some unique values in the world  that will never be outdated. Love is one of them…
